Camping in the New Forest puts you in the perfect location to visit many wonderful and fun places. The New Forest was made a Royal Forest by William I, in 1079, to provide a beautiful setting for Royal hunts of deer, and in 1086, was entered into The Doomsday Book as Nova Foresta. In 2005 The New Forest was given National Park status. It comprises of woodland, heathland and grassland which are home to a diverse range of wildlife, including our lovely New Forest Ponies who roam freely amongst the open land and village’s.
